Three officials from the Food Corporation of India have been suspended after being implicated in a concerning incident where food grains mixed with soil were sent to ration shopkeepers, announced the district administration on Monday.

The issue came to light when shopkeepers reported receiving adulterated food grains, leading to disputes with ration recipients, stated District Magistrate Dharmendra Pratap Singh. A task force, including District Supply Officer Chaman Sharma, investigated eight shops, confirming the allegations with soil-infused grains found in stock.

As a result, Ramkrishna Dubey, Ravikant Mishra, and Mohit Kumar from the Marketing Branch were suspended. Singh emphasized the gravity of the situation in his correspondence with the government and instructed continuous inspections to ensure beneficiaries receive their full ration entitlement.
