In a tragic incident in Jammu and Kashmir's Ganderbal, seven individuals, including Gurmeet Singh, were killed in a terrorist attack on an under-construction tunnel. Singh, speaking to his wife over the phone, was fatally wounded amidst the violence.

The attack, which took place on Sunday night, involved unidentified assailants who targeted both local and non-local laborers. Authorities reported at least two attackers opened fire indiscriminately, resulting in multiple casualties and injuries among the workers.

Gurmeet Singh, originally from Punjab's Gurdaspur, had spent five years working in Kashmir. As the sole breadwinner, his death has left his family devastated, spurring calls for government assistance in the wake of this heartbreaking event.
