Adm Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) of India, is on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates from October 21 to 24, 2024. This visit is designed to bolster defence cooperation between India and the UAE, reflecting the deepening Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two nations across various sectors. It aims to strengthen bilateral maritime relations and explore new avenues for collaboration between their navies.

During his visit, Adm Tripathi will engage in discussions with Rear Admiral Pilot Saeed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, the Commander of the UAE Naval Forces, as well as with other senior government officials. A key highlight of the visit will be his engagement with student officers at the National Defence College of UAE, promoting dialogue and sharing best practices in naval strategy and operations.

Adm Tripathi is also expected to witness the 3rd Edition of the India-UAE Bilateral Naval Exercise, which underscores the commitment of both nations to enhance operational interoperability and ensure maritime security in the region. This exercise will involve various naval manoeuvres and joint operational planning, further solidifying the strategic defence ties between India and the UAE.

Additionally, the Joint Defence Cooperation Committee (JDCC) plays a pivotal role in fostering collaborative defence initiatives and strategic dialogues.
