Jammu and Kashmir witnessed a tragic incident as a terror attack in Ganderbal claimed the lives of seven individuals. Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary expressed deep condolences and condemned the attack, highlighting the urgent need for improvements in security.

Speaking to reporters, Choudhary mentioned that both the lieutenant governor and the chief minister have assured strict action against those responsible for the attack. The director general of police is also actively involved in addressing the situation.

The attack targeted laborers and staff at a tunnel construction site on the Srinagar-Leh National Highway. Authorities have noted a pattern of similar incidents occurring before elections. Choudhary expressed deep sorrow over the loss and extended prayers to the affected families, reiterating the government's commitment to protect its citizens.
