Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has openly criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi, accusing it of consistently deflecting blame on others to cover its own failures. Saini's remarks come in response to Delhi CM Atishi's accusations against the BJP regarding pollution in the capital.
Saini underscored the biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) figures for water supplied to Delhi, questioning AAP's responsibility towards addressing the pollution caused by the city's 28 drains. Accusations from Saini claim AAP prioritizes personal gain over public welfare, citing worsening air quality and visible froth on the Yamuna River.
Despite Delhi's claims, Saini demanded accountability for the Rs 6,000 crore received for river cleaning, highlighting that AAP-ruled Punjab and other sources contribute to the pollution crisis. The Haryana CM's challenge to justify the expenditure seeks to uncover actions taken with the funds amid growing public discontent over environmental management.
