A tragic incident unfolded in Unchahar as the body of a young jeweller, Shobhit Kaushal, was discovered near Gosai Ka Purwa village, following an alleged kidnapping.

Kaushal, 23, was reportedly abducted from his jewellery shop in Unchahar town by two men, as per the complaint filed by his father on Friday. The following day, authorities apprehended one suspect tampering with the shop's CCTV camera.

Upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to the murder, leading investigators to Kaushal's body, which bore deep wounds from a sharp weapon. Local traders, angered by the crime, rallied in protest but were contained by police. Both suspects are now in custody, and further investigations are ongoing.
