The Delhi High Court has intervened in a matter concerning alleged improper toll fee practices by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI). The court has instructed the NHAI to address a petition alleging undue toll charges and improper installation of toll plazas.

During a session on September 25, Chief Justice Manmohan and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela instructed that the petitioner, Anand Mishra, a lawyer, could file a comprehensive representation within two weeks. The court expects the NHAI to process the representation within four weeks.

Mishra's petition contends that NHAI has collected undue tolls on partially completed highways, violating the National Highways Fee Rules. The plea demands the immediate enforcement of these rules and the refund of excessively collected toll fee.
