Tensions Rise as Moscow Condemns Israeli Actions on UN Peacekeepers

Russia's Foreign Ministry expressed strong disapproval on Friday, criticizing Israel for its alleged military actions against U.N. peacekeepers in Lebanon. It has urged Israel to cease any further hostile activities targeting these forces.

This condemnation follows reports from a U.N. source indicating that Israeli forces had targeted an observation post of the UNIFIL peacekeeping force near Naqoura in southern Lebanon, resulting in two injuries.

Additionally, Israeli forces reportedly violated the perimeter of another UNIFIL position, escalating concerns. Moscow has called for restraint and expressed its support for the peacekeepers, wishing the injured a quick recovery.
