Accidental Firearm Mishap Injures Builder and Son in Kalyan

A builder and his son sustained injuries after a revolver accidentally discharged at their Kalyan office on Thursday morning, police reported.

The mishap occurred at approximately 10 a.m. when builder Mangesh Gaikar was cleaning his licensed firearm. The revolver went off, injuring Gaikar in the hand. Additionally, the bullet shattered a nearby glass panel, causing shards to injure his son, Shamal. Both victims received medical attention at a local hospital.

Following the incident, senior police officials visited the scene, and an investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause of the accidental discharge.
