As conflict intensifies in Lebanon due to Israeli airstrikes, over 2,000 people, including Turkish citizens and some foreigners, commenced evacuation on Turkish military ships late Wednesday night.

The exodus, driven by escalating aggression, saw citizens, such as Zehra Cibbin from Mardin, Turkey, fleeing with family from dangerous zones in Beirut.

Despite fears for their lives, evacuees, escorted by a six-ship convoy led by the TCG Bayraktar and TCG Sancaktar vessels, will journey back to Mersin, Turkey, amid uncertainties and ongoing aid initiatives.
