In a decisive move, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed the formation of a 'one-man judicial commission' to streamline the implementation of SC sub-categorization, capitalizing on a recent favorable Supreme Court verdict.
The Chief Minister instructed his officials to promptly initiate a social, economic, and caste survey of backward classes, ensuring that the report is completed by December 9. This survey is vital as it will guide new job notifications based on its findings.
During the strategic meeting, it was decided that the Commission will utilize the 2011 census data to precisely enumerate the SC population. The planning department has been tasked with conducting the BC survey, addressing the lack of administrative machinery within the BC Commission.
