Iran Criticizes G7's 'Biased' Stance on Israel Conflict
Iran has slammed the G7's condemnation of its missile attack on Israel, labeling the response as biased. This follows Iran's firing of over 180 missiles in retaliation against Israeli actions. Iran's criticism extends to accusing G7 nations of fueling instability in West Asia through support for Israel.
Iran has labeled the Group of Seven's (G7) condemnation of its missile strikes on Israel as 'biased and irresponsible,' according to a statement from Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei. The remarks follow Iran's launch of over 180 missiles towards Israel in what it claims was a response to the killing of militant leaders and ongoing tensions in Gaza and Lebanon.
A key Iranian figure, Abbas Nilforoushan of the Revolutionary Guards, was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut alongside Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah last week. The G7's condemnation came with an expression of strong concern over the escalating Middle East crisis, encouraging a diplomatic solution to prevent further regional conflict.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry has held G7 countries accountable for rising instability in West Asia, citing their military and financial backing of Israel. German and Austrian ambassadors were summoned by Tehran following similar actions taken by Berlin and Vienna against Iran's missile activities.
