A key witness in the 1984 Pul Bangash Gurdwara case has testified against Congress leader Jagdish Tytler in a Delhi court. Lakhwinder Kaur, widow of one of the victims, accused Tytler of inciting the mob that killed her husband, Badal Singh, during the anti-Sikh riots.

Special Judge Rakesh Syal recorded Kaur's statement, which was based on accounts from eyewitnesses including Granthi Surender Singh. Kaur relayed that Singh saw Tytler at the scene, allegedly provoking the violence. Despite Tytler's counsel arguing that the testimony was hearsay, the court accepted it.

The court has charged Tytler with murder, abetment, rioting, and promoting enmity among groups. These charges follow a CBI investigation and charge sheet highlighting Tytler's alleged role in the events that led to multiple deaths and the burning of the Gurdwara.
