A tragic explosion at a firecracker factory in Sirauli district claimed the lives of five individuals, including two children aged four and five. The blast, initially reported on Wednesday, brought the death toll to five after bodies were recovered from the rubble late at night.

In the aftermath, Senior Superintendent of Police Anurag Arya took swift action, suspending four policemen, including Sub-Inspectors and Constables, while ordering a probe against a circle officer over potential negligence. The local station house officer was also removed.
