The tragic deaths of Heera Lal Sharma and his four daughters in Delhi's Vasant Kunj are believed to be linked to financial distress, as police sources revealed Sharma had just Rs 208 in his bank account and hadn't made any transactions since April.

Sharma, a carpenter for the Indian Spinal Injury Centre for 28 years, and his daughters Neetu (26), Nikki (24), Neeru (23), and Nidhi (20), were found decomposed in their Rangpuri village residence. Police suspect it might be a suicide pact, though the possibility of poisoning hasn't been ruled out.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Rohit Meena stated the bodies were handed over to the family after postmortem examinations. With initial signs pointing to poisoning, police are waiting for the viscera report and are investigating Sharma's bank transactions and call records to uncover more details.
