French Foreign Affairs Minister Jean-Noel Barrot has made a renewed plea to Israel, urging the nation to refrain from any ground invasions in Lebanon. In addition, Barrot emphasized France's commitment to bolstering the Lebanese army amid the escalating conflict.

"I urge Israel to refrain from any ground incursion and to cease fire. I call on Hezbollah to do the same and to refrain from any action likely to lead to regional destabilization," Barrot stated in a press briefing during his visit to Lebanon.

Israel's recent two-week offensive resulted in the death of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah and several senior commanders, but also claimed around 1,000 Lebanese lives and displaced 1 million people. Hezbollah has vowed to counter any Israeli ground invasion.
