The Madras High Court has directed the RSS organizers to meet with police officers to finalize the details of a route march scheduled for October 6, on the eve of the Vijayadasami festival.
Justice G Jayachandran issued the directive following petitions from RSS officials challenging police rejections of their applications for the event. The judge emphasized that the route march's details must align with the court's guidelines issued last year.
This directive applies not only to the petitioners but to all members of the RSS planning to conduct similar events. The court also noted that the police should have engaged with the organizers to finalize the specifics rather than outright rejecting their requests. The deadline for finalizing these details is set for September 30.
