The Delhi High Court on Tuesday bid a heartfelt farewell to Justices Rajiv Shakdher and Suresh Kumar Kait, following their appointments as chief justices of Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh High Courts, respectively.

During the ceremony, Justice Suresh Kumar Kait expressed gratitude to his family and paid homage to Dr. B R Ambedkar, thanking the Constitution for his achievements. Justice Kait, originating from a Scheduled Caste background, highlighted the importance of the Constitution in his career.

Justice Rajiv Shakdher recounted his struggles in the legal profession, emphasizing that perseverance and hard work can overcome societal biases. He addressed the importance of proportionality and equality in his speech, drawing inspiration from the Mahabharata. Both judges were commended for their significant contributions to the judiciary.
