In a show of solidarity, two Goa ministers have condemned the ongoing campaign against Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, accusing him of involvement in land scams.
On Sunday, Sawant released a video statement vehemently denying the allegations and asserting that the campaign was driven by people with vested interests.
During a press conference on Monday, ministers Subhash Shirodkar and Rohan Khaunte declared that all state ministers stood united under Sawant's leadership. Water Resources Minister Shirodkar praised Sawant's performance and highlighted the arrest of several individuals by the Special Investigation Team, which was set up to combat land grabbing.
Shirodkar noted that the team of 12 ministers, led by Sawant, welcomes constructive criticism but will oppose projects detrimental to Goa's interests. Tourism Minister Khaunte also criticized the circulated videos, describing them as baseless and aimed at tarnishing Sawant's image.
