Cleric Arrested for Alleged Rape of Five-Year-Old Girl in Alwar Mosque

A cleric was arrested on Sunday for the alleged rape of a five-year-old girl inside a mosque in Rajasthan's Alwar district, police reported.

The arrest followed an incident where the girl, who had been playing outside her house, was taken inside the mosque and allegedly assaulted by the accused, identified as Asjad, aged 22.

The incident came to light when the girl's mother, searching for her daughter, entered the mosque and discovered the situation. Rajgarh SHO Ramjilal Meena confirmed that the alleged perpetrator has been arrested and is currently being questioned.
