The Delhi Police has apprehended five juveniles in connection with the fatal stabbing of a teenager and the injury of another during a violent clash between rival gangs, officials reported on Saturday.

The incident took place on Friday evening at Sunday Bazaar Road in Sangam Vihar, resulting in a juvenile being stabbed over a dozen times by members of the opposing group. The victim died instantly, while another managed to escape despite injuries.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rakesh Paweriya disclosed that the conflict stemmed from a rivalry between gangs led by adults Islam and Hari Kishan. The victims were associates of Islam, who is currently wanted for multiple criminal offenses. The apprehended juveniles were said to be connected to Hari Kishan, who is now serving time for murder. Authorities recovered three knives from the suspects and further investigations are ongoing.
