Bhopal Teacher Arrested for Allegedly Raping Three-Year-Old Student

A 28-year-old teacher from a private school in Bhopal has been arrested for allegedly raping a three-year-old student, an official said on Wednesday.

The child's mother approached the police on Monday after the school management allegedly ignored her complaint, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police Priyanka Shukla.

The accused, identified as Kasim Rehan, was detained after police visited the school to gather information. The child is three years and seven months old, the police official added. The mother reportedly went to the school after noticing injury marks on her daughter's private parts, but her complaint was ignored by the management.

Kasim Rehan faces charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for rape, Shukla stated, adding that further investigation is underway.
