Amrit Mohan Prasad Appointed as Director General of Sashastra Seema Bal
Senior IPS officer Amrit Mohan Prasad has been appointed as the Director General of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), as per an official order. Prasad, an Odisha cadre 1989-batch IPS officer, currently serves as Special Director General of the CRPF. His new tenure will last until August 31, 2025.

In a significant administrative move, Senior IPS officer Amrit Mohan Prasad has been appointed as the Director General of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), according to an official directive released on Friday.
Prasad, who hails from the 1989 batch of the Indian Police Service (IPS) and is of Odisha cadre, is currently positioned as the Special Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has sanctioned Prasad's new role, which will see him serve as the Director General of the SSB until his superannuation on August 31, 2025, as stated in the order issued by the Personnel Ministry.
