Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Friday voiced serious concerns regarding land encroachment issues in Raipur, urging officials to take swift action to address these complaints.

Addressing a conference of collectors and police superintendents at the New Circuit House, Sai reviewed the progress of government schemes and the state's law and order situation. He highlighted the encroachment by land mafia and commanded the police and revenue departments to work collaboratively for effective monitoring and immediate action.

Sai also stressed the need for robust crime control measures, noting a decrease in the overall crime rate. He advised police officials to promote awareness about the newly amended Indian Penal Code, instill fear of law among criminals, and foster a supportive environment in police stations. Furthermore, the CM called for social policing initiatives and strict actions against cow smuggling, drug abuse, illegal alcohol transportation, gambling, and betting. Disappointed with unsolved crime cases in Durg, he praised improvements in other regions but indicated that more efforts were necessary. He also raised concerns about rising road accidents and urged the police to increase traffic rule awareness.
