The Gujarat High Court on Friday dismissed an affidavit submitted by the state government in relation to the Rajkot game zone fire, which resulted in 27 fatalities. The court expressed frustration over the 'evasive' nature of the replies provided.

A division bench, comprising Chief Justice Sunita Agarwal and Justice Pranav Trivedi, pointed out that the government's affidavit failed to address any of the issues highlighted in their previous order.

Subsequently, Advocate General Kamal Trivedi retracted the affidavit and assured the court that a new, more straightforward affidavit would be filed for the next hearing, scheduled in two weeks' time.
