Supreme Court Seeks Bar Council of India's Stand on Final Year LLB Students' Plea
The Supreme Court has asked the Bar Council of India to respond to a plea filed by nine final year LLB students from Delhi University, challenging the decision to bar them from taking the All India Bar Examination. The students argue that the restriction will delay their professional careers.

The Supreme Court on Friday sought a response from the Bar Council of India (BCI) regarding a plea challenging its decision to bar final year LLB students from the All India Bar Examination (AIBE), a qualifying test for law graduates to enroll as lawyers.
A bench composed of Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud and Justices J B Pardiwala and Manoj Misra heard the plea filed by nine final year LLB students from the Campus Law Centre and the Law Centre of Delhi University.
In issuing a notice, the top court asked the BCI to provide instructions and scheduled the plea for a hearing next week.
