Maharashtra Congress leader Atul Londhe on Friday alleged widespread corruption in the state government's 'Anandacha Sidha' scheme.
Londhe asserted that the initiative, designed to distribute food kits ahead of major festivals, has left 70-80% of intended areas uncovered, and the quality of items provided is subpar.
Demanding a probe, Londhe urged the Maharashtra government to form a committee to investigate the irregularities. The scheme, launched by the Eknath Shinde government on October 4, 2022, aims to benefit targeted households under the National Food Security Act 2013.
