Supreme Court Grants Bail to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal in Corruption Case

The Supreme Court on Friday granted bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a corruption case related to the excise policy 'scam', citing that prolonged incarceration would amount to an unjust deprivation of liberty.
A bench comprising Justices Surya Kant and Ujjal Bhuyan allowed bail to Kejriwal upon furnishing a bond worth Rs 10 lakh and two sureties of the same value.
The court also ruled that Kejriwal should refrain from public comments on the case merits and abide by the conditions imposed in the Enforcement Directorate (ED) case.
