Legal Challenge Against Rajasthan CM's Anticipatory Bail

A petition has been submitted to a court to overturn the anticipatory bail of Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, linked to the 2011 communal violence in Bharatpur.

The petitioner's lawyer, Sanwarmal Chaudhary, argued before Additional District Judge Anamika Saharan that Chief Minister Sharma was granted bail under specific conditions, including the requirement of court approval for international travel.

According to the petitioner's counsel, Sagar Chaudhary, Sharma is currently abroad for the Rising Rajasthan investors' summit despite these conditions. The court has scheduled a hearing on the matter for September 24.
