A tragic incident unfolded in Chhattisgarh's Balodabazar-Bhatapara district where a man, his two sisters, and his 11-month-old nephew were brutally murdered over suspicions of black magic, according to local police.
The murders occurred at 6pm in Chharchhed village under the Kasdol police station jurisdiction. Authorities have detained a man and his two sons for questioning.
Victims Chaitram Kaivartya, aged 47, his sisters Jamuna and Yashoda, and Jamuna's son Yash, were killed using sharp weapons and a hammer. The prime suspects, Ramnath Patle and his two sons, allegedly attacked due to illness in Patle's daughter, believed to be caused by black magic practiced by Chaitram's mother, who was not present during the attack. The investigation is ongoing.
