In a recent consultative meeting, held by the Nagaland government, stakeholders urged parallel Naga groups to consolidate their dialogue efforts and present a unified 'single document' to the Centre for resolving the decades-old Naga political issue.

Government spokesperson and state Power Minister K G Kenye disclosed that participants—including tribal hohos, civil society representatives, church bodies, NGOs, student unions, and political parties—expressed a unanimous view that the Naga negotiating parties (NSCN-IM and WC, NNPGs) should avoid presenting separate documents to minimize confusion.

The gathering concluded by adopting a four-point resolution and appealed to the Centre to elevate the peace dialogue by appointing a higher political interlocutor. Emphasis was also placed on preventing further factionalism and fostering unity among Naga factions to bring all peace process stakeholders under a spirit of understanding.
