Delhi Police have claimed to have dismantled an inter-state firearms supply syndicate, apprehending one member of the gang, officials reported on Wednesday.
The accused, identified as Angat Singh (26), was found in possession of 10 weapons.
A senior police officer stated that a tip-off received on September 5 led to Singh's arrest at Dhaula Kuan. A trap was laid and resulted in his capture.
'We seized a total of ten firearms (five semi-automatic high-quality pistols and five single-shot pistols) from him. He had learned the process of manufacturing illegal arms and began production in the remote areas of Balwadi, Madhya Pradesh,' the officer said.
Singh has been involved in six cases across Gurugram and Delhi. Further interrogation and investigation are underway, according to police.
