A tragic event unfolded on Wednesday as a 70-year-old man and his 30-year-old grandson lost their lives due to a wall collapse in Baktauri village, officials reported.

The victims, identified as Badri Prasad and his grandson Mahendra, were taking cattle out for grazing when the wall crumbled, stated Sub Divisional Magistrate Ramdev Nishad. Locals assisted in pulling them from the debris, but they were declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.

Authorities have confirmed that the bodies have been sent for postmortem and assured that an investigation will be conducted with due compensation provided to the family.
