The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced that it will relax educational criteria for executive assistant positions, eliminating the condition of clearing Class 10 and degree exams on the first attempt.
Following an online recruitment drive in August for 1,846 posts, the BMC received numerous requests to revise the educational criteria. In response, the civic body decided to drop the 'first attempt' requirement, significantly easing the process for many aspirants.
A new recruitment advertisement will be issued within 15 days, with existing applicants not required to reapply. The move was influenced by appeals from prominent politicians and a letter from Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
