Sandip Ghosh, the former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, was remanded to judicial custody until September 23 by a special CBI court, which is investigating financial irregularities involving Ghosh.
Accompanying Ghosh in custody are his security personnel Afsar Ali, medical equipment vendor Biplab Singha, and pharmacy owner Suman Hazara, all implicated in the case.
The CBI has reportedly collected substantial digital evidence against the accused, with more time needed for thorough analysis, though future custody may be sought if required.
