In a pressing development, the Rajasthan High Court issued a notice to the state police chief and other officials on Monday, demanding a progress report on the search for Rahul Parashar, who went missing in the Nahargarh hills on September 1.
Rahul Parashar, aged 21, and his brother Ashish, aged 19, disappeared during their visit to the Charan Mandir. While Ashish's body was found on September 2, Rahul remains missing, prompting their father, Suresh Parashar, to file a habeas corpus petition in court.
A division bench comprising Justice Inderjeet Singh and Justice Bhuwan Goyal issued the notice, according to Girraj Prasad Sharma, the counsel for Suresh Parashar. Despite extensive search efforts by the police and other agencies, including the use of dog squads, mining experts, and helicopters, Rahul has yet to be located. The next hearing is slated for September 20.
