In an elaborate strategy spanning two years, the accused behind the December 13, 2023 Parliament security breach aimed to discredit India's democracy and achieve lasting global fame. As per the chargesheet filed by Delhi Police, the main conspirator, Manoranjan D, along with his associates, executed a coordinated gas attack during the Zero Hour on the Parliament premises.

The accused first met on social media before holding numerous in-person meetings in Mysuru, Gurugram, and Delhi. The 1000-page chargesheet reveals that these meetings were pivotal in finalizing their modus operandi. The perpetrators sought to send a message against Indian Democracy, portraying it as ineffective and in need of replacement.

The breach took place on the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament terror attack. Led by Manoranjan D and other co-accused, the assailants used gas canisters to release yellow gas in the Lok Sabha chamber and outside the Parliament premises. Following their apprehension, the accused were booked under UAPA and sections of the Indian Penal Code and are currently lodged in Tihar jail.
