Manipur Police Deploy Anti-Drone Systems Amid Rising Violence
Manipur Police have deployed advanced anti-drone systems following recent drone and rocket attacks on civilians. Inspector General of Police K Kabib confirmed additional weapons and tactics are being employed to counteract further incidents. This comes amid new violence in Jiribam district, leading to five deaths and ongoing efforts to secure vulnerable areas.

Manipur Police have ramped up their security measures by deploying sophisticated anti-drone systems in response to recent drone and rocket attacks targeting civilians. This announcement follows reports of fresh violence in Jiribam district, which has resulted in five fatalities.
Inspector General of Police (Intelligence) K Kabib stated that the police force is actively purchasing additional anti-drone weapons and has deployed senior officers on the ground to manage the situation. Army helicopters are also conducting aerial patrols, and security personnel are stationed in vulnerable regions. Combing operations are being intensified in both hill and valley areas to prevent further attacks.
In Jiribam district, suspected Kuki militants attacked Nungchabi village, killing an elderly resident, and an exchange of fire in Rashidpur village resulted in another death. The district police, led by the SP, responded promptly, finding three bodies of suspected miscreants. Efforts are also underway to monitor social media for instigators, with law enforcement issuing warnings against those inciting unrest.
