In a series of coordinated operations, Assam Rifles, alongside Manipur Police and other security forces, achieved major successes in retrieving weapons and warlike materials from various districts in Manipur. A press statement revealed that the joint operations employed advanced equipment such as explosive detection dogs and metal detectors.

On August 28, 2024, based on specific intelligence regarding concealed arms and ammunition, a joint team of Assam Rifles and Manipur Police launched a search operation in the Sekmaijin area of Kakching District. The thorough search led to the discovery of a Sten Mk V rifle, two 12-bore single-barrel rifles, two 9mm pistols, nine hand grenades, and other warlike stores.

Continuing the momentum, another intelligence-led operation on August 30, 2024, in Kangpokpi district, saw the joint forces recover a Soviet rifle, a locally made rifle, a bolt-action rifle, a 0.22 pistol, an improvised mortar, six Pompis, and additional warlike stores in Changsang near Sagolmang and Ekau Mullam near Saikul.

Further credible intelligence prompted operations in the Manipur R Corridor located in Molnom-Senam Hills and Saivom Hills, spanning the districts of Churachandpur, Tengnoupal, and Chandel, on September 1, 2024. These efforts led to the recovery of a significant cache, including a 51mm mortar, an MA-3 Mk-II rifle, an AK-47, two Lathode guns, a .303 rifle, six 9mm pistols, seven single-barrel 12-bore guns, two 0.22 rifles, twelve single-barrel 12-bore guns, eleven Pompi guns, 49 improvised explosive devices, grenades, tear gas shells, ammunition, and other war material. These operations resulted in seizing over 50 weapons, all of which have been handed over to Manipur Police.
