Police Seize Rs 42.86 Lakh Worth Ganja in Ahmedabad Bust
The Ahmedabad crime branch seized ganja worth Rs 42.86 lakh and arrested seven individuals involved in smuggling the substance. Acting on a tip-off, police raided a godown in Vatva industrial area, uncovering a truck loaded with 194.85 kg of ganja transported from Odisha's Ganjam district.

The police on Friday seized ganja worth Rs 42.86 lakh in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and apprehended seven individuals for smuggling the narcotic, an official stated.
The suspects transported 194.85 kg of ganja from Odisha's Ganjam district in a truck, planning to distribute it within the city, according to the Ahmedabad crime branch's release.
Following a tip-off, the crime branch raided a godown in the Vatva industrial area, seizing the contraband and detaining the suspects, identified as Sanjay Sahu, Sushant Gauda, Ajay Swain, Laba Gauda, Manigadan Mudaliyar, Kumar Pandey, and Sandip Shah.
Additionally, the truck used for smuggling was confiscated. Preliminary investigations revealed that Sanjay Sahu and Sushant Gauda orchestrated the purchase and transport of the contraband, with assistance from others who rented the godown.
