Two individuals were detained for allegedly performing stunts with a government-allocated SUV in Ghaziabad, police revealed on Thursday.

A video showing the SUV, with its blue beacon light on, performing stunts went viral online. The vehicle was designated for a naib tehsildar stationed in Sadar Tehsil, Ghaziabad.

The incident took place on NH-9 in the Vijay Nagar area on Wednesday night, according to police reports.

Rajesh Kumar Singh, DCP City Zone, stated, 'We have detained Ashu and his friend Piryanshu, who were in the vehicle, and issued a fine of Rs 25,000. Further investigations are ongoing.'

Police disclosed that the vehicle had been parked by its driver, Sanjay Kumar, when Ashu and Piryanshu took it without permission. Subsequent checks confirmed that the Ghaziabad Development Authority had allotted the SUV to a naib tehsildar.

Both Ashu and Piryanshu admitted to performing stunts with the government-issued vehicle, according to the police.
