A tragic accident claimed the life of Constable Ashveer Singh, 24, who was struck by a train near the Indira Nagar railway crossing.

The incident, which occurred on Wednesday night, resulted in significant injuries, one of his legs being severed. Singh succumbed to excessive bleeding during treatment, according to Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar Meena.

Officials have completed the post-mortem examination. Singh, who served in the police line, was a resident of Shamli district.
