Horrific Acid Attack in Malegaon: College Student and Family Injured
An 18-year-old college student and her parents sustained serious injuries after an unidentified assailant threw acid on them early Wednesday in Malegaon, Maharashtra. An 18-year-old college student in Malegaon, Maharashtra, suffered severe injuries when an unidentified assailant broke into her home and threw acid on her early Wednesday morning, police said.
The attack, which occurred at around 2.30 am in the Islambad area of Malegaon, also left her parents injured. The family was asleep when the intruder entered the house and committed the heinous act.
All three victims are currently being treated at the government hospital in Malegaon. Authorities have registered a First Information Report at Malegaon Killa police station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The investigation into the assailant's identity and motive is ongoing, officials said.
