Tragic Accident Claims Life of Transgender Person in Lower Parel

A 32-year-old transgender person died in Lower Parel after his scooter skidded and was hit by a dumper truck. The accident occurred near 5.30 pm on Tuesday. The victim, a Worli BDD Chawl resident, was declared dead on arrival at a civic-run hospital. An accidental death case was registered.

A tragic accident occurred in Lower Parel on Tuesday evening, claiming the life of a 32-year-old transgender person, police said. The incident took place around 5.30 pm when the victim's scooter skidded and was struck by a dumper truck.

The scooter came under the truck's rear wheel, leading to the victim's severe injuries. He was immediately rushed to a nearby civic-run hospital, but unfortunately, doctors declared him dead on arrival, according to a police official.

The victim was identified as a resident of Worli BDD Chawl. An accidental death case has been registered at the N M Joshi Marge police station, authorities confirmed.
