The Bombay High Court has advised police to thoroughly investigate a sexual assault case involving two young girls at a school in Badlapur, Maharashtra, emphasizing that public pressure should not rush the process.

During the hearing, Justices Revati Mohite Dere and Prithviraj Chavan noted the importance of educating boys on respecting girls. The Court took suo motu cognizance of the incident and stressed the need for a comprehensive investigation, condemning the local police's inadequate initial probe.

The HC criticized the stereotypical manner in which the case diary was maintained, urging the SIT to ensure every investigative step is documented properly. Additionally, the Court called for a gender-neutral approach to safety in schools, recommending retired IPS officer Meeran Borwankar and a retired high court judge for a committee to examine the security measures.
