The incident occurred around 7am when the girl, who had been staying in the building for the past four days with her male friend, fell from the terrace. She was rushed to the hospital by residents but was declared dead on arrival, according to Mumbai police officials.

Responding to the mother's complaint, police have initiated a murder investigation. Meanwhile, authorities are awaiting the post-mortem report as the probe continues, stated an official from the Sewri police station.
