Minister M B Patil Clarifies Stance on KIADB Plot Allocations Amid Controversy

Large and Medium Industries Minister M B Patil clarified that personal relationships should not influence government decisions on industrial plot allocations. Denying allegations of favoritism, he stated neither he nor his family had obtained any plots from KIADB or KHB. Opposition leader Chalavadi Narayanaswamy accused Patil of allotting a site as ‘quid pro quo’.

Minister M B Patil has stated that personal relationships should not be linked to government's decisions regarding Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB) plots for private firms.

He clarified unambiguously that neither he nor his family had acquired any 'G-Category' site or plot from KIADB or Karnataka Housing Board (KHB) throughout their political career.

Addressing accusations from opposition leader Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, who claimed Patil allocated a plot as a 'quid pro quo', Patil maintained that his family's connection to Bagmane Tech Park didn't influence any governmental decisions, emphasizing the plot was allotted based on qualifications.
