An FIR has been filed against BJP leader Mukesh Bora and his driver for allegedly raping a widow by promising her a permanent job, according to local police. Bora has been dismissed from his position as the Uttarakhand Cooperative Dairy Federation Limited administrator in light of these allegations.

The charges stem from a woman's complaint that Bora and his driver Kamal Belwal raped and intimidated her. Senior Superintendent of Police (Nainital) Prahlad Narayan Meena confirmed that an investigation is underway, and further action will be taken based on findings. The victim alleges she was forced into sexual relations over a span of three years and was threatened with dire consequences if she resisted or disclosed the abuse.

The victim's statement, corroborated by Circle Officer Sangeeta, outlines how Bora initially secured her a temporary job following her husband's death, only to later exploit her vulnerability. Bora even threatened to disseminate compromising images and videos of her if she spoke out. Additionally, she claims Bora pressured her to engage in sexual relations with his friends, a demand she refused despite threats to her and her children's lives. Judicial action is pending based on the ongoing investigation.
