In a concerning incident, Supreme Court Judge Jitendra Kumar Maheshwari's elder brother, his wife, and their driver were injured on Monday after their vehicle overturned in Madhya Pradesh's Guna district, according to local authorities.

The injured, identified as Ravi Maheshwari, his wife Asha Devi, and driver Amit Sharma, were initially rushed to a nearby hospital and subsequently moved to a facility in Indore. Medical professionals have confirmed that all three are in stable condition and out of danger.

The accident occurred at approximately 8:30 am on National Highway 46, about 20 kilometres from Guna's district headquarters. According to the police, the accident happened when the driver tried to avoid a cow and hit a pothole. Thankfully, the vehicle did not fall into a nearby water-filled ditch. Local officials, including Guna Collector Satendra Singh and Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Sinha, visited the victims in the hospital for support.
