Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh outlined the ambitious Vision J&K @2047 during a press conference, positioning it as a key component of Vision India @2047. Speaking ahead of the upcoming Jammu & Kashmir Assembly elections, he described the elections as a landmark development, marking the first assembly elections in a decade and a significant milestone in the region's democratic journey.

Dr. Singh, who serves as the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology, Earth Sciences, and other key departments, praised the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for driving transformative changes across India, which have positively impacted Jammu & Kashmir. He emphasized the abrogation of Article 370 as a pivotal step in integrating J&K into India's mainstream, enhancing local self-governance, and democratizing institutions.

The Minister introduced Vision 2047, focusing on three transformative areas: democratizing democratic institutions, governance through self-governance, and exploring new sectors for development. He highlighted initiatives like the Agri-Startup through the Aroma Mission, which has created significant employment opportunities in the region.

Dr. Singh also discussed the positive impact of recent reforms, such as the CPGRAMS model for grievance redressal and technological advancements like drone mapping for farmers. He expressed confidence in the "Double Engine Government" at both the Centre and in J&K, predicting it will drive the region’s development and contribute to India's broader growth trajectory under Vision India @2047.
